摘要
Guinea pig peritoneal exudate neutrophils are significantly affected in their ability to pinocytize and phagocytize foreign matter following periodic acid and neuraminidase treatment. Trypsin treatment yielded to a significant decrease only in the case of phagocytosis. The presence of some neuraminic acid-rich glycoprotein sites on the membrane surface might be incriminated in the physiological ability of neutrophils to recognize foreign substances during uptake processes. © 1968.
