摘要
Absolute maxima in surface-level carbon monoxide exceeded the primary 8-h standard of 9 ppm several times between the hours of 1900 and 0700 local tone for the fall and winter of 1976 in Hampton, Virginia. A field measurement program showed that reduced mixing volumes due to nocturnal radiation inversions were probably responsible for this build up of carbon monoxide despite night-time reductions in the principal carbon monoxide source, vehicular traffic. © 1979.
