摘要
For the localization of ions within the individual cell wall of treated softwood the recently developed instrument Laser-Microprobe-Muss-Analyzer “LAMMA 505” (Fa. Leybold-Herueus) was used. On the basis of high spatial resolution and high detection probability it is possible to determine the distribution of elements in the individual cell wall layers (< 1 μm). livery laser shot on cross sections (< 1 μm) generates a total of elemental information either pertaining to positive or negative ions. The embedding material methacrylate of the control probes can be determined only in the lumina. Treatments of air-dried supwood samples of picea abies and Pinus sylvestris with solutioni of CsCl, NaF, CuSO4 K2Cr2O7, and CCF result in an irregular distribution of ions across the cell wall with more chromium being adsorbed than copper. None of the cell wall layers shows a preferred adsorption. Chromium applied as bichromate is reduced evidently in the cell wall. Under certain conditions traces of applied fluorine ions can be detected in the cell wall. Up to now quantitative analysis is relatively applicable to a single section. Absolute numerical duta for orientation purposes of measured ion concentrations should be obtainable in the near future by using calibration standurds. © 1979, Walter de Gruyter. All rights reserved.
