摘要：

The wear resistance of diamond-like carbon coatings in air and in vacuum is investigated over a wide range of sliding speeds and normal loads. It is shown that diamond-like coatings have a low friction coefficient and a high wear resistance. The possibility of applying diamond-like coatings for increasing the wear resistance of various tools is discussed.
