摘要
Various techniques are described that used, have been modified or are under development at LMRI to prepare sources intended for primary measurements. The apparatus described by Lowenthal and Wyllie for electrospraying ion-exchange resins has been modified to improve the reliability of this preparative procedure, and electrosprayed latex particles have also been tested as a substitute for resins. A study has been made of the feasibility of replacing evaporated gold coatings with new organic conductors as a thin-film covering for radioactive sources. The accurate weighing of radioactive droplets has also been improved by using a high-resolution electronic balance (±0.1 μg). © 1990.
