摘要
A rare case of orbital pyocele (infected mucocele) causing unilateral proptosis in a 16-month-old child is reported to remind the clinician that infants are not immune to this entity. Infancy as a factor by itself is not sufficient reason to exclude mucocele in the differential diagnosis of unilateral proptosis. Infected mucoceles in children should indicate the possibility of cystic fibrosis. © 1969.
