摘要
A simple and convenient method of preparing permethyl derivatives of gibberellins (GAs) for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry is described. MethElute (ME; 0.2 M trimethylanilinium hydroxide) is added to the sample dissolved in methanol and then injected directly on the column of the gas chromatograph. The method, which gives consistently reliable results, is simple, rapid and safe to use. Data are presented for a number of permethylated ME‐GAs. The utility of the mass spectra of these derivatives for structural analysis of the gibberellins is discussed. Copyright © 1990 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
