摘要：

Fox rabies entered in France in 1968, but the contaminated area the number of cases in animal species dramatically decreased during the last three years. This progress have been obtained after several years of research on epidemiology and vaccines, with the development of oral vaccination of foxes with baits carrying live viruses : attenuated strains of rabies virus (SAD), or low virulent mutant (SAG), or recombinant vaccinia virus (VRG). It is possible to foresee the eradication of the disease in France within few years.
