摘要
The antiferromagnetic exchange interaction in the europium chalcogenides is attributed to the Anderson type 180° EuXEu superexchange mechanism, in which the valence p bands of the anion and the empty down-spin f bands of Eu++ are primarily responsible. This mechanism has to be related to the spin-polarized energy bands. © 1969.
