摘要：

The design principles and construction details of a new system for the vertical Bridgman growth of mixed semiconducting crystals containing toxic species and/or components with a high vapour pressure are described. The most novel features incorporated are concerned with the safety of the operator, equipment and environment. The furnace is so designed as to obtain various temperature profiles and the drive motors cover a wide range of speeds to provide the versatility for many different crystal growth experiments to be considered. The complete operational procedure and the safety interlocks are also described. © 1979.
