This article offers a rationale for videoconferencing implementation and examines key capabilities, advantages, and limitations. Empowered with an understanding of videoconferencing strategies and techniques, academic librarians can facilitate the effective design and deployment of videoconferencing applications that contribute to the establishment of virtual collaborative relationships and the enrichment of library services.
