摘要：

Investigated the lack of relationship between the Accurate Empathy (AE) scale and subjective perceptions of empathy. Tape-recorded segments of empathic interactions with 22 normal undergraduates were rated on subjective empathy, the AE scale, and 9 objective and 4 subjective interviewer behaviors. It was found that expression of interest or involvement relates to both judged and subjective ratings of empathy; verbal dominance and quantity of words relate only to the AE scale; and clarity of expression relates to Ss' perceptions of empathy.
