INVESTIGATION OF EEF PROPERTIES FOR A CRACK IN A PLANE ORTHOTROPIC ELASTIC SOLID WITH PURELY IMAGINARY CHARACTERISTIC ROOTS

摘要
The properties of the eigenfunction expansion form for a semi-infinite crack in a plane orthotropic elastic body with purely imaginary characteristic roots are studied in detail. The difficulties in performing Bueckner's integral with two complex arguments are overcome and the expected explicit function representations for the integral are derived. It is found that the pseudo-orthogonal property of EEF found in the isotropic case is proved to be valid in the orthotropic case with purely imaginary characteristic roots. Some useful path-independent integrals and weight functions are derived.
