摘要
The catalytic properties of nickel Raney (NiR) catalysts may be influenced by the phase composition of the precursors -mechanically alloyed (MA) nickel aluminides. MA nickel aluminides can react with KOH solution and form NiR in the composition ratio Ni:Al=1:1, while for melt and cast (MC) nickel aluminides this ratio never exceeds 2: 3. NiR catalyst made from MA alloys contains Ni3Al, in contrast to that made from melt and cast alloys. The leaching degree of aluminium from MA nickel aluminides is governed by two opposing factors: a high level of defect states and thus an electrode potential shifted to negative values which facilitates corrosion and the presence of steady Ni3Al which decreases the leaching degree and catalytic activity.
