MULTIPLE COLLISION THEORY AND OPTICAL MODEL OF HIGH-ENERGY SCATTERING FROM NUCLEI

摘要
High-energy elastic proton scattering from light nuclei is analysed. The optical model results for 12C and 16O are very close to the multiple collision theory predictions; for 4He, however, the multiple collision theory should be used rather than the optical model. Corrections due to the Pauli principle correlations are found to be small. Theoretical results are compared with the recent experimental data. © 1969.
