THEORY OF EVANESCENT LIGHT-WAVE SCATTERING AT THE SOLID-NEMATIC INTERFACE

摘要
The field correlation function of light scattered from the evanescent wave at a solid-nematic interface is deduced. Its perpendicular part has a nonexponential tail falling off as t-3/2 and depends on the anchoring energy. Different possible orientations at the surface are discussed.
