摘要
A simple finite element method for determining the effective coupling coefficient of magnetostrictive transducers that includes the effects of both the mechanical and magnetic structure is presented. The method uses two finite element programs that are separately dedicated to mechanical and magnetic structures. An example based on a Terfenol-D driven barrel stave flextensional transducer is evaluated using the method.
