摘要
High resolution X-ray spectra of the K-alpha satellites emitted from Multi Charged Ions (MCI) in collisions with surfaces have been measured as a function of the vertical velocity towards the surface. The results allow for the first time to differentiate between X-rays emitted from ions inside the bulk or ions experiencing a pure surface interaction.
