摘要
When Raman spectra are excited in the near-infrared range, the probability of fluorescence of the sample or its impurities, obstructing the Raman spectrum, is reduced considerably. The ν4 decrease of the intensity can be compensated by using FT-spectrometers and spherical cuvettes. Noise is reduced by eliminating the exciting line (reduction to about 10-12) with only small reduction of the intensity of the Raman lines. With no extra time necessary the 'Stokes'- and 'anti-Stokes' Raman lines can be recorded in order to determine the temperature of the sample. Examples shown include colored samples, polymers and micro Raman spectra of bio material. © 1990.
