摘要
A high proportion of people infected with HIV are not diagnosed until they have developed or are on the verge of developing AIDS. Ignorance of their risk of infection or fear of the implications of a diagnosis still play a part in their failure to have an HIV antibody test Earlier diagnosis of HIV-induced disease is particularly important for this group, as is continuing education about the risks of infection and the value of early diagnosis.
