Effect of rare earth composition on the electrochemical properties of multicomponent RENi(5-x)M(x) (M=Co,Mn,Ti) alloys

摘要
The electrochemical properties of RENi(5-x)M(x) (M = Co, Mn, Ti) hydrogen storage alloys with different compositions of rare earth components (RE = La1-x-y-zCexNdyPrz) were systematically examined. The results showed that La, Ce, Nd and Pr all had big effects on the electrode performance. A mathematical-methodological approach to compositions was used and the results showed that all had the combined effect on the electrode properties. A computer program was adopted to draw out isographs including the isodischarge capacity, iso-high-rate dischargeability and isocycle life of multicomponent alloy electrodes vs. the composition of quasi-ternary rare earth elements.
