摘要
The potentiodynamic technique was employed to study the anodic behaviour of some steels containing varying amounts of C in alkaline media. The rates of oxidation of Fe → Fe2+ → Fe3+ depend markedly on the nature of the phases present and the amount of these phases. In presence of a complexing agent the rate of anodic dissolution as Fe2+ becomes almost independent of the C content. Stirring was found to increase only the rate of oxidation to the divalent state. © 1969.
