摘要：

The ultrastructure of rests of Malassez in the incisor and molar periodontal ligament of the mouse were studied. They consisted of small groups of cells showing features typical of epithelial cells, such as tonofilaments and intercellular desmosomal junctions. In the incisor and sometimes also in the molar, desmosomes were observed between two opposing parts of the surface of a single epithelial cell. Such autodesmosomes were predominantly near the epithelial cell-connective tissue interface in areas where the basal lamina, surrounding the rests, was interrupted. © 1979.
