PREDICTION OF SECONDARY RECRYSTALLIZATION TEXTURE IN FE-3-PERCENT SI BY 3-DIMENSIONAL TEXTURE ANALYSIS

摘要
A new method of predicting secondary recrystallization has been developed and tested against data obtained from X-ray pole figures of Fe-3% Si alloy. The X-ray data from primary recrystallized material is analysed using the "vector method" to yield relative intensities of grain orientations. They are classified into one of 1296 orientations. Frequencies, IC, of coincidence orientation relationships between the grain orientations so formed and selected (hypothetical) secondary recrystallization nuclei in the matrix are calculated and the product, PCN, of intensity of selected nuclei actually present and IC are made. It is shown that a critical value of PCN needs to be exceeded for secondary recrystallization to occur. © 1990.
