COMPARATIVE RATES OF PHOTOLYSIS OF TRIADIMEFON IN AQUEOUS-SOLUTION IN THE PRESENCE OF HUMIC AND FULVIC-ACID

摘要
The photostability of triadimefon in aqueous medium when irradiated with UV-light lambda greater than or equal to 290 nm in the presence of humic and fulvic acids (isolated from soil) and in their absence is reported. The degradation followed approximately first order kinetics. Irradiation (lambda greater than or equal to 290 nm) in water resulted in 87% degradation of the chemical, whereas substrate transformation in the presence of humic acid and fulvic acid was 89.7% and 91.6% respectively. Six main photoproducts were identified by GC and GC-MS analysis. 4-Chlorophenol and dechlorinated triadimefon were identified in all the three experiments.
