摘要
A new synthetic route to symmetrical diaryliodonium salts used the low-temperature reaction of trans-chloro-vinyliodoso dichloride with 2 equiv of aryllithium and gave fair to excellent yields of diphenyliodonium, di-p-tolyliodonium, di-1-naphthyliodonium, di-2-naphthyliodonium, di-9-anthryliodonium, and dibenziodolium salts. An extension of this method allows the synthesis of unsymmetrical diaryliodonium salts. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
