摘要
The orienting action of three types of layers on liquid crystal is investigated. Homogeneous orientation of the liquid crystal layer is obtained under the action of a transparent conductive SnO2 film and carbon film. Such an orientation is achieved with gelatin films as well. Homeotropic orientation of the liquid crystal can be also obtained by exposing the latter to ion bombardment with Ar ions. Copyright © 1979 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
