ON NEW TERNARY ALUMINIDES LNPDAL AND LNPTAL

摘要
The compounds LnPdAl (Ln = Ce, Pr, Nd) were found to crystallize in the hexagonal Fe2P structure, probably in the ordered ZrNiAl variant, whereas the orthorhombic TiNiSi-type structure (ordered Co2Si type) was assigned to the platinum compounds LnPtAl (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd) as well as to CaPtAl. A hexagonal modification was observed for ErPdAl and LuPdAl. The new Pd compounds order antiferromagnetically, the Pt compounds ferromagnetically with ordering temperatures of 3-19 K.
