摘要
A small gamma-ray spectroscopy system useful for in-beam spectroscopy is described. The system consists of a small Ge(Li) central detector surrounded by a 12.7 cm o.d. by 2.5 cm i.d. by 14.0 cm long NaI(Tl) annulus split into quadrants. The system can be operated as an anti-Compton spectrometer, in which case the Compton continuum is reduced by a factor of 3 to 6. Approximate calculations of the expected Compton reduction factor were made and the results compared to experiment. In addition, the system can be used as a three-crystal pair spectrometer. Results are presented. © 1969.
