NMR SPIN-LATTICE RELAXATION STUDIES OF METHYL ISOCYANIDE IN SOLUTION

摘要
The nitrogen quadrupole coupling constant, χN, in methyl isocyanide has been measured in solution by NMR spin-lattice (T1) relaxation measurements. The value of χN, 67 kHz, is the smallest yet measured and is the result of solvent-solute interactions. Rotating frame spin-lattice relaxation times, T1ρ, for nitrogen were also measured. They are in agreement with the spin-lattice relaxation time results. © 1990 American Chemical Society.
