DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF A SINGLE-MODE LASER COUPLED TO A PHASE-CONJUGATE MIRROR

摘要
We study the effect of the presence of a phase-conjugate mirror on the dynamical evolution of a single-mode laser. We arrive at a set of modified Maxwell-Bloch equations, which are solved numerically in some particular cases. Due to the presence of the phase-conjugate mirror the system has above threshold five stationary points, rather than three, while in the range where the dynamical behavior is chaotic two well separated strange attractors appear rather than one. © 1990.
