摘要
The inverse thin-slab albedo problem, or how to determine the scattering function from the measured reflected and transmitted distributions, is considered. It is shown that the scattering function can be determined from the reflected and/or transmitted distributions, measured in certain directions, without using any theoretical model for the scattering kernel. The method, in fact, provides for a measurement of multiple-scattering contributions in the determination of the scattering kernel. An iterative procedure for computing the scattering kernel from measured distributions is described and applied to one-speed isotropic scattering. © 1968 The American Physical Society.
