摘要
The electrocatalytic oxidation of propanol isomers was investigated on platinum electrodes modified by submonolayers of Pb, Tl and Cd in alkaline medium using cyclic voltammetry. All the three metal ad-atoms investigated enhance the electrocatalytic activity of Pt. Pb and Tl ad-atoms greatly increase the oxidation rate leading to enhancement factors of about 80. Cd ad-atoms shift the polarization curves negatively, giving an enhancement factor of about 3.5 at low potential.
