摘要
The collection efficiency of an inclined tubular elutriator was measured as a function of linear velocity, angle of inclination and particle size. Three different elutriators, four particle sizes and three carrier gases were used in the study. It was found that there was significant particle removal at the face of the elutriator and correction for this effect had to be taken into account. Agreement of the sedimentation efficiency with theory was good. Collection of particles on the face of the elutriator was primarily by interception. © 1979.
