HIGH PT GLUON EMISSION FROM COLLECTIVE STRING INTERACTIONS IN HIGH-ENERGY HEAVY-ION COLLISIONS

摘要
In this note I suggest a possible effect in case there would be color ordered strings in relativistic heavy ion interactions at RHIC energies. Soft interactions lead to bremsstrahlung due to color separation, at least in the FRITIOF model. Such radiation is, however, expected to be very soft due to the extension and consequent low energy density of the sources. There is a possibility when the density of collisions is very large that many strings may pool their common energy and emit radiation together. I try to evaluate the rates for such an effect, which may well be present if the strings behave like strongly interacting vortex lines in a color superconducting vacuum.
