摘要
Base-catalyzed hydrolysis of disulfides has been found to be accelerated by the presence of methyl(aquo)cobaloxime and to lead to the formation of methyl(thiolato)cobaloximes. This acceleration is prevented in the presence of a large excess of pyridine suggesting that disulfides associate to methylcobaloxime at the labile, axial ligand position. If such association occurs, it must be quite weak since no direct spectroscopic evidence for interaction of disulfides with methylcobaloxime in the absence of base could be obtained. © 1979.
