摘要
Twenty-picosecond soliton pulses are experimentally generated by an electroabsorption modulator at a 10-GHz repetition rate. By taking into account the unavoidable background light and the voltage-dependent chirp parameter, a good agreement between theoretical and experimental results is found. It also appears that the usual time-bandwidth product specifying such sources must be interpreted with care. (C) 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
