摘要
Described is an apparatus which automatically subjects a suspension cell culture to a series of low oxygen shocks. Seven 45 min 0.15% oxygen hypoxic shocks alternated with 45 min exposures to air were found to induce a degree of division synchrony in Tetrahymena comparable to that obtained with 5 hyperthermic shocks. © 1969.
