PERMEABILITY FOR REACTION H+H2=H2+H TREATED AS A LINEAR ENCOUNTER USING VARIATIONAL TECHNIQUES

摘要
Variational calculations for determining the permeability of the Sato potential-energy surface as described by Weston have been made for the reaction H+H2=H2+H treated as a linear encounter. The results compare favorably with the corresponding calculations of Mortensen and Pitzer. The variational functions describing the asymptotic regions have a form after that of Kohn.
