DISLOCATION-STRUCTURES CAUSED BY PLASTIC-DEFORMATIONS IN AN AGED AL-MG-SI ALLOY

摘要
An Al-1.42%Mg2Si alloy produced from high purity metals was investigated. After solution heat treatment at 540°C for 30 min followed by quenching in water at 20°C the alloy was aged at 180°C for different times to obtain varying precipitated (zone?) states. Tensile plastic deformations were carried out between 1% and rupture on these samples. The rupture surfaces were studied by scanning electron microscopy and the dislocation structures by transmission electron microscopy. Correlations were made between microstructure and tensile work-hardening curves. © 1979.
