APPLICATION OF A SIMPLE MONTE-CARLO MODEL TO DETERMINE EFFICIENCIES OF BAF2 AND GE(LI) DETECTORS

摘要
The efficiencies of a cylindrically symmetric BaF2 scintillation and Ge(Li) semiconductor detectors to monoenergetic gamma-rays have been calculated by the Monte-Carlo technique considering a simple model of interactions of gamma-rays passing through the matter. It is shown that this model yields reliable efficiency curves for both types of gamma-ray spectrometers.
