摘要
It was found that commercial 8 mol-% yttria doped zirconia is an active catalyst for the oxidative coupling of methane in the temperatures range of 800-950-degrees-C. Selectivities to C2 (ethylene and ethane) up to 55% and C2 yields up to 11% were obtained. The effects of gas composition, residence time, recycle and temperature have been investigated. Measured turnover rates are comparable with those of the most active known methane oxidative coupling catalysts.
