KONDO EFFECT AND CRYSTAL-FIELD EFFECT IN CENI2SN2

摘要
Measurements of electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and thermoelectric power on single crystal CeNi2Sn2 and of specific heat on the polycrystal sample reveal that this compound is an anisotropic Kondo-lattice system with T(N) = 1.8 K. The energy level of the first-excited crystal-field doublet is 17 K, which is only twice the Kondo temperature of the ground state doublet.
