摘要：

Single crystals and polycrystalline samples of transparent calcite (Iceland spar) were used to investigate the effects of pressure, temperature, pressure beyond an accepted equilibrium value, and grain size on the kinetics of the calcite-aragonite transformation. Values for the rate constant and the exponent characterizing the transformation were computed using Cahn's nucleation and growth model for solid-solid transformations.-from Authors
