摘要
The 188-MHz 19F NMR spectra of solutions of poly(vinylidene fluoride) have been obtained and interpreted. Eight of the resolved resonances have been assigned to the central CF2 groups in different seven-carbon sequences arising from the ten distinguishable four-monomer sequences. This interpretation also accounts for some unexplained or misinterpreted resonances in published 94.1-MHz spectra. The polymers studied in this work had a Bernoullian distribution of head-to-tail vs. head-to-head and tail-to-tail monomer sequences with the probability for a head-to-tail addition of PHT = 0.948. Other weak resonances detected in some samples may be due to branching. © 1979 American Chemical Society.
