摘要
A number of different techniques for electron microscopy have been used in the examination of ultrafiltration membranes. Two membranes, a polysulphone membrane and a membrane made of regenerated cellulose, have been studied and their ultrastructures found to be significantly different. Thin section transmission electron microscopy has given information on the overall structure of the membranes, while freeze-fracture combined with deep-etching has revealed the fine structure of the matrix of both membranes.
