MICTURITION THRESHOLD IN CATS WITH AMYGDALA LESIONS

摘要
Micturition threshold was measured by gradually filling the bladder, the outlet being left intact. In a double blind study in five cats, medial amygdala lesions were found to decrease micturition threshold, and in three cats lateral amygdala lesions increased micturition threshold. In unoperated cats and six cats with small lesions no changes were demonstrated. The results are interpreted with regard to functional specificity of the amygdala nuclei. © 1968.
