DETECTION OF C-13 ISOTOPOMERS OF HC5N (J=9-8) IN THE CIRCUMSTELLAR ENVELOPE OF IRC+10216

摘要
We report the detection of HC13CCCCN, HCC13CCCN, and HCCC13CCN (J = 9-8) in the molecular envelope of the carbon star IRC + 10216. by comparing reliable values for the C-13/C-12 isotopic ratio in IRC + 10216 with our results, we conclude that H12C5N is probably optically thick (tau almost-equal-to 2), which in turn suggests that the gas distribution must be quite clumpy, or at least highly inhomogeneous, with a volume filling factor approximately 0.1% to a few percent.
