摘要
In a 2x2 factorial experiment, Awassi lambs grew faster than goats (P < 0.01) on diets with low and high levels of rumen undegradable protein (UDP), and had better (P < 0.01) feed conversion efficiency. Goat carcasses and their wholesale cuts were generally lenear (P < 0.01), with higher (P < 0.01) bone and lower (P < 0.01) fat proportions. A diet X species interaction (P < 0.05) was found to be mainly due to the higher (P < 0.05) proportion of fat in goats fed the high UDP diet. Differences in lean: bone ratio were not significant.
