The paper briefly describes the results acquired in the Romanian thermopower equipment industry as a result of cooperation with foreign companies specialized in such high-tech equipment manufacturing. Based on the cooperation with companies from the former Soviet Union, Babcock and Guttehoffnungshutte (GHH) Companies, Germany, GEC-Alsthom (English-French company), General Electric, U.S.A., and Ansaldo, Italy, steam boilers and steam turbines were manufactured for a great number of power and industrial objectives in Romania. Due to the researches performed by ICPET-SA, such thermopower equipments were also manufactured, both for Romanian objectives and for export, being another chapter of the international cooperation.
